The Genesis MUN 2019 with the theme of “Definitive Actions”, created a simulation of committees, varying from the fast-paced Indian War Cabinet to the compelling Supreme Court, where delegates meaningfully debated and reached well-crafted and thoughtful resolutions. In an environment where the lines between real and fake are rapidly getting blurred, we hoped to emerge as a conference that sensitized its participants towards different perspectives, looks at issues of global, local, and national importance through a kaleidoscope of possibilities, and encouraged an environment of deliberation before the debate, understanding before assumption and presumption. Maj. Gen. Vikram Dogra, the Chief Guest and the Keynote speaker, led by personal example- having completed the Ironman Austria at the age of 58 in 14 hours and 20 minutes becoming the first serving Indian Army officer and the only General in the world to do so. Some of the topics covered by him were: Power of Personal Perfection, Dreams, and Goals, Anything is Possible, Technique of Aggregation of Marginal Gains, Conscious Living Resulting in Personal Growth, Leadership Lessons from the Army, Decision Making and many more. With more than 160 delegates from 11 schools nationwide, the hotly contested best school delegation was bagged by The Modern School Barakhamba, while DPS Noida emerged close runners up. The delegates of Genesis Global School performed tremendously well and bagged the maximum number of awards in this edition of Genesis MUN.
